Antwerp! With its fabulous station, a tunnel for pedestrians and cyclists, and of course the beautiful classical gable houses (as well as less beautiful city scapes).

The LocHal is a huge industrial hall that originally was used for train maintenance, and now has been converted to a public library, combined with a business meeting place, and a space for artists.

The Binnengasthuis is a former hospital converted to a university library.

Huis te Vraag is a closed cemetery at the Rijnsburgerstraat in Amsterdam. Trees and shrubs are taking over the graves, but in an artistically controlled way.

Dordt in stoom is a bi-annual event in Dordrecht about anything steam: ships, engines, trains, etc.

Artists and anti-squad occupants currently can use this space and in that way keep it from being trashed until it will be renovated. Originally this space was used by company Groenpol (later renamed into GTI) for maintaining electrical equipment such as traffic lights. See pages 265-266 in the original zoning plan for more information.

Parts of North-Amsterdam used to be industrial and ship building areas. Over time it is being converted into neighborhoods with apartment blocks. Today you can still see the old mixed in with the new.

Urbex (urban exploration) of abandoned factories and the like, to record echoes of the past and nature reclaiming the remains.

It was not just the ships that caught my eye, but also all the stuff around them.
